Lead / Senior Software Developer - Mainapp Platform Team

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing software for a range of projects closely related to our core businesses. These projects are executed swiftly with a lean team. As a valued team member, you will play an active role in designing various components of scalable applications, encompassing frontend UI to backend infrastructure.

You will be an integral part of the Main App team, contributing to the creation of a system capable of catering to 100 million active users worldwide. Lead / Senior Software Developers have the autonomy to devise and implement both technical and non-technical solutions to cater to internal users and external customers efficiently.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Engage in project development tasks within the Platform Team.
• Take full ownership of the product lifecycle from planning to delivery.
• Collaborate closely with diverse cross-functional teams including Backend, Frontend, and QA developers.
• Propel continuous enhancement in development processes, tools, and testing methodologies.
• Foster innovation in workflow automation tools and applications for team productivity boosts.
• Assess existing workflows continually and recommend enhancements.
• Pursue optimization of processes, code quality, and team effectiveness rather than settling for mediocrity.
• Proactively identify and offer superior solutions to address bottlenecks.
• Provide support for existing applications, bug fixing, and addressing customer issues promptly.
• Root cause analysis of application errors and escalate critical concerns to designated internal engineers.
• Engage in the enhancement of architecture, platform, tools, and DevOps practices within the team's codebases.

Requirements:

• possess 2-8 years of experience in server-side programming languages.
• exhibit proficiency with Ruby on Rails or a similar web MVC framework for over 2 years.
• demonstrate effective communication skills when engaging with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• exude a willingness to actively participate in the open-source community for the collective benefit.
