THE ROLE
As a Lead Software Engineer at Eigen Labs, you will take charge of the EigenPOD offchain components, overseeing the management of smart contracts designed to monitor balance and withdrawal statuses on the EigenLayer platform. You will collaborate with the protocol team to ensure smooth integration of offchain systems with EigenLayer, driving the success of native restaking offerings and contributing to the growth of the platform.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Act as a technical leader on crucial projects, enhancing productivity by sharing expertise.
- Collaborate with leadership to shape strategy, product roadmaps, and platform experiences.
- Develop code for beacon chain event proofs and design APIs for efficient webapp utilization.
- Implement innovative solutions like zero knowledge proofs and batch processing for enhanced cost efficiency.
- Keep abreast of relevant EIPs impacting native restaking and evaluate vendor solutions for optimal implementation.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in backend distributed systems.
- 2+ years of full life cycle development using Go programming language.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud technologies and in-depth knowledge of Ethereum protocol, staking, and beacon chain.
- Demonstrated leadership in backend development projects focused on web2 components and API design, resulting in successful production releases.
- Experience in developing scalable and dynamic software systems.
NICE TO HAVES
- Hands-on experience with Ethereum consensus clients or other blockchain protocols.
- Proficiency in smart contract development and understanding of native restaking and liquid staking mechanisms.
Eigen Labs offers an annual base salary in the range of $225,000 - $300,000, in addition to annual bonuses, incentives, and various employee benefits including medical, dental, vision coverage, 401k, unlimited paid time off, and fully paid maternity and paternity leave.
