Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Legal Associate, EMEA to join the European legal team at 21.co and 21Shares. This role involves providing legal guidance to asset management, product, and blockchain technology teams. Ideal candidates will possess expertise in financial services laws and capital markets, with an interest in digital assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with various teams to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for financial products setup and maintenance.
- Draft and maintain European ETP product documentation, including prospectuses and service agreements.
- Collaborate with Capital Markets Team to meet listing requirements at national and international exchanges.
- Assist in new product and technology launches, addressing legal and regulatory matters.
- Monitor legal and regulatory changes related to exchange traded products and digital assets.
- Engage with external counsel, compliance, and risk teams as needed.
- Negotiate and draft commercial agreements and contracts.
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders during contract negotiation and compliance processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Qualified attorney licensed in Switzerland, Europe, and/or the UK.
- 3+ years of legal practice experience, focusing on financial services laws.
- Proficiency in financial services law and regulation, especially in exchange traded products and securities laws.
- Skilled in commercial contract negotiations, drafting, and review.
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Understanding of financial industry operations.
- Interest in digital assets and blockchain is advantageous but not mandatory.
Location: Zurich or London with hybrid office schedule Monday-Wednesday.
