Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Contract Review: Analyzing and negotiating various commercial contracts vital to the group’s operations, encompassing service agreements, licensing agreements, sponsorships, and vendor contracts.
  • Legal Advisory Services: Offering timely legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on a range of legal matters, including technology, privacy, consumer protection, and contracts.
  • Legal Compliance Oversight: Monitoring regulatory changes in digital entertainment and gambling industries, advising on legal compliance issues, and implementing policies to manage legal risks.
  • Technology Law and IP Advisory: Providing strategic guidance on technology law, intellectual property, and software licensing matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • M&A Support: Assisting in M&A activities by conducting due diligence, assessing legal risks, and preparing transactional documents.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Law, admitted to practise in Australia.
  • Certifications in technology law, intellectual property law, or privacy law preferred.
  • 4-5 years in private practice with a focus on technology, intellectual property, and commercial transactions.
  • Proficiency in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts.
  • Strong grasp of technology and digital entertainment industries.

Desired Skills:

  • Technology and digital entertainment acumen.
  • Sports and gambling knowledge advantageous.
