Team Overview:
The legal team at Parity, led by the Chief Legal Officer and Chief Operating Officer, consists of three skilled lawyers and a Trainee Solicitor. This dedicated team works relentlessly to support the rapidly growing and fast-paced business with a wide range of legal responsibilities.
Role Summary:
As a Legal Team Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative and research support to facilitate smooth operations within the Legal and Finance departments. While prior legal experience is not mandatory, the ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a keen interest in blockchain technology, legal matters, and the Polkadot ecosystem.
Primary Responsibilities:
Administrative & Logistical Support:
Coordinating team logistics, scheduling meetings, and managing correspondence.
Formatting documents, preparing presentation materials, and maintaining internal files.
Handling legal subscriptions, access permissions, and serving as the main contact for legal tools.
Documentation & Contract Management:
Developing team workspaces, archiving files, and ensuring documentation accuracy.
Supporting the contract management process, including tracking documents and monitoring execution.
Creating internal communications to keep the department informed about ongoing initiatives.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
Gathering and analyzing data to support legal and finance team projects.
Assisting with financial tasks such as data entry, updating spreadsheets, and monitoring expenses.
Contributing to the production of financial reports for planning and budgeting purposes.
Research & Analysis:
Conducting research on blockchain regulations and industry trends within the Polkadot ecosystem.
Staying informed on blockchain technology advancements relevant to the role.
Specific Tasks:
Subscriptions & Tools:
Managing access and subscriptions for legal tools.
Maintaining task clarity and completeness within project management tools.
Scheduling & Communication:
Overseeing team calendars and communication.
Monitoring team emails and responding accordingly.
Contract & Document Management:
Utilizing contract management software to track and manage legal documents.
Managing internal communication channels to keep team members updated.
Research Tasks:
Staying updated on regulatory developments in blockchain.
Creating presentations and updates as necessary.
Monthly Reporting & Updates:
Compiling reports and updates for Director reviews.
Key Qualifications:
