Role Profile
The role entails executing trades, particularly in foreign exchange and cryptocurrency, on behalf of BVNK's corporate clients swiftly and accurately. Responsibilities include adhering to the firm’s trading protocols and risk management procedures, delivering market insights to clients, and coordinating trading support functions. Specific tasks will be assigned based on the candidate's experience level. Due to the 24/7 nature of the crypto market, candidates must be prepared for shifts outside regular hours and occasional weekend work.
Tasks and responsibilities
As a Liquidity & Execution Analyst you will:
- Execute client orders accurately and reconcile transactions promptly within the system.
- Support the team in addressing general administrative matters relevant to the trading desk.
- Monitor the firm’s trading policies and risk management procedures.
- Maintain effective communication within the team and assist in resolving settlement issues.
- Oversee daily electronic trading activities through various chat applications.
- Identify and assess trading opportunities across key African markets such as arbitrage and potential partnerships.
- Foster client satisfaction, actively seeking to expand transaction volumes with existing clients.
- Support general administrative activities for the team, such as account management and AML/KYC compliance.
- Note: Responsibilities will align with the candidate's experience level.
- Given the 24/7 nature of the crypto market, candidates should be willing to work shifts beyond standard hours and occasional weekends.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Possess 1-3 years of prior experience in roles like FX broker/trader/treasurer.
- Demonstrate interest in and knowledge of cryptocurrencies as an added advantage.
- Strong verbal communication skills, sound analytical capabilities, and a detail-oriented and organized approach to work.
- Exhibit teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Ability to create and maintain relationships with counterparties.
Optional (good to have)
- Previous experience establishing a similar function in a high-growth fintech or software company.
- Experience within a Product-Led organization.
- Proficiency in analytics and numerical skills.
- Ability to multitask, react promptly to new information, and maintain strong communication and networking abilities.
