Market Operations Specialist
About the Role
A major sporting event begins. A partner market becomes inactive. A complex issue arises that requires clarification. In these scenarios, you play a pivotal role in ensuring operations run smoothly.
As a Market Operations Specialist, you represent CDNA's predictive markets to our B2B partners. Your responsibilities include addressing partner inquiries, maintaining market health, and upholding the quality standards of our exchange. You will actively monitor live events, identify and address liquidity gaps, assist with settlement language, and serve as a reliable point of contact for partners needing immediate assistance.
No technical background is necessary for this role. We are seeking individuals knowledgeable about markets, adept at clear communication, able to remain composed in fast-paced environments, and committed to ensuring partners feel supported.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison for B2B partners, responding promptly and professionally to queries regarding market availability, contract specifications, and settlement outcomes.
- Monitor live markets in real time during active events, proactively identifying and addressing liquidity gaps, pricing irregularities, or operational issues to prevent negative impacts on partners or traders.
- Stay updated on live sports, political, and macroeconomic events to ensure market accuracy and relevance as situations evolve.
- Collaborate with the broader ExOps team to highlight settlement complexities, capture partner feedback, and ensure swift resolution of issues.
- Maintain clear records of partner interactions and market challenges to support compliance with CFTC regulatory standards.
- Participate in weekend and evening coverage rotations, as these times are critical for market activity and partner support.
Who You Are
- 1–2 years of experience in a client-facing operations, trading support, or market monitoring role.
- Background in sports betting, prediction markets, financial exchanges, or related industries.
- Familiarity with binary options, event contracts, or derivatives products is a plus.
- Knowledge of CFTC regulations or exchange compliance basics is advantageous.
- Experience interacting with B2B partners or institutional clients in fast-paced settings.
- Strong communication skills, demonstrating clear writing, timely responses, and the ability to explain complex market concepts to non-experts.
- Passion for sports and an understanding of key engagement-driving events and storylines.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, defusing tension during challenging situations.
- Detail-oriented approach to identifying market anomalies while efficiently managing multiple tasks.
- Collaborative team player who proactively raises concerns.
Schedule
Due to peak market activity on weekends and evenings, rotational shifts with weekend coverage are expected, with weekdays off in exchange.
