About Openmesh and Xnode

Currently, a small number of corporations have control over 90% of the world's data and IT infrastructure, leading to social inequality, scandals, and other problems. Openmesh is a cutting-edge open-source cloud infrastructure and global open data network. It aims to store important global data without relying on intermediaries. Openmesh serves as the largest open web3 data lake and covers approximately 80% of the crypto and web3 ecosystem. Its goal is to expand its coverage to include public health and scientific research data.

Openmesh allows people to create their own decentralized data cloud, connect globally, share data securely, and decrease deployment costs. It provides the ability to collect, store, process, stream, and provide data connectivity for anyone, anywhere, at any time. Think of Openmesh as the internet's open data fabric, granting universal access preventing interference.

Core Products

Our flagship product, Xnode, is pivotal in this vision. It offers a revolutionary platform for developers to build their own decentralized data clouds, which includes data connectivity, data APIs, and query & analytics engines. The platform allows developers to reduce costs by avoiding licensing and setup fees, and significantly reduces deployment time.

Pythia is a powerful analytics & query engine that transforms raw data into valuable insights. It provides anyone with the ability to design, build, visualize, and deploy impactful data products. Unified APIs provide a single endpoint for all crypto & web3 data, making it accessible to anyone without hassle.

Our Vision

Our vision is to democratize data and address information asymmetry on a global scale. We believe that reliable, unedited information is a fundamental right of a free and democratic society. Openmesh has no single authority that can manipulate data or control its distribution. The infrastructure and technology stack are open-source and governed by a community.

The Opportunity

This paid internship offers the chance to fulfill your PEP 40H industry experience requirement. You will learn about groundbreaking innovations in Data, Cloud, Blockchain, AI, and Web3 Infrastructure from industry visionaries, senior engineers, and product owners. Through our open source technology, hackathons, virtual conferences, mentoring sessions, R&D infrastructure, and workshops, you will gain practical experience and the opportunity to work on projects.

Career progression is possible, as top-performing candidates may receive a full-time job offer. Additionally, you will develop problem-solving skills, learn how to present ideas, work in teams, and gain professional thinking strategies.

Why Join Us

By joining us, you have the opportunity to lead a revolutionary product in the field of data management and accessibility. Collaborate with a global community of innovators and thought leaders, making a significant impact on how data is accessed and utilized worldwide. Rust/blockchain

I am seeking a world-class Systems Engineer / Rust Architect to build a proprietary asset extraction engine on the Solana network. This is not a "Web3 App" or a "DEX UI." This is a purely backend, low-latency machine designed to capture micro-value from market volatility. The system mimics a "digital sluice," using high-precision math to harvest fractional differences that standard rounded-math bots ignore. We are scaling from a prototype to a 30-node distributed network managing 100+ concurrent execution "hands."Core Technical RequirementsLow-Level Rust Mastery: You must be an expert in the Tokio runtime, asynchronous programming, and memory-safe mathematical operations.Solana Network Physics: Deep understanding of the Sealevel runtime, custom WebSocket/Lumen bridges, and avoiding gRPC bottlenecks.Jito & MEV Optimization: Proven experience with Jito Bundles, transaction shredding, and tip-optimization to ensure first-block inclusion.Distributed Orchestration: Ability to architect a master-node system that manages 30+ regional nodes with seamless failover and zero-loss state management.Precision Math: All logic must operate on u64 integers (Lamports) to avoid floating-point rounding errors. We do not "round" to the dollar; we capture the 9th decimal.Key ResponsibilitiesEngine Hardening: Audit and optimize the core Rust logic for 0-latency execution.Node Orchestration: Build the "Master Switch" to deploy, monitor, and update 30 nodes across global regions simultaneously. The "Tax" Logic: Implement a secure, automated "sweeper" protocol that collects fractional value from all child-nodes into a master treasury without interrupting execution.Redundancy: Ensure the system is "Anti-Fragile"—if a validator or node fails, the 50-drop safety protocol must trigger an instant failover.
