Role Overview:
Joining as a Member of Client Operations, Settlements at Anchorage Digital involves providing crucial support to clients in their day-to-day activities. The responsibilities include reconciling various digital assets' activities, ensuring timely settlements, and implementing robust risk mitigation strategies. The position mandates extensive knowledge of cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, financial operations, and risk management. The ideal candidate should exhibit strong technical expertise, adeptness at handling complex tasks, organizational acumen, and effective communication and influencing skills.
Qualifications and Responsibilities:
Technical Skills:
- Utilize a profound understanding of traditional financial services, products, and strategies to offer thought leadership and strategic guidance to clients.
- Oversee end-to-end processing of client operations for institutional clients, including accurate and timely review and verification of operations.
- Employ blockchain explorers, trading platforms, and relevant tools to monitor and reconcile digital asset activities.
- Utilize accounting principles related to digital assets, reconciling balances and transactions across multiple platforms and wallets.
- Generate precise settlement reports for internal stakeholders and clients using data analysis and reporting tools.
- Interface with institutional clients in a financial services setting, holding knowledge of US AML requirements.
- Demonstrate basic understanding of the crypto industry landscape, tokens/protocols, and deployed verticals.
Complexity and Impact of Work:
- Quickly adapt and learn as business strategies evolve and new products and tasks are introduced.
- Manage complexities related to reconciling and settling transactions involving various digital assets and fiat currencies.
- Handle time-sensitive tasks, prioritize competing demands, and meet deadlines for efficient settlements.
- Develop internal presentations, reports, and lead projects to enhance internal processes or support new endeavors.
- Autonomously deliver day-to-day results and effectively manage and monitor outstanding settlements.
- Prioritize tasks and triage competently to ensure accuracy with Client and Counterparty monitoring tools.
- Evaluate risks to the organization and clients, addressing complex questions thoughtfully.
Organizational Knowledge:
- Stay updated on cryptocurrency industry trends, regulatory guidelines, settlements, and custodial services' best practices.
- Possess comprehensive understanding of different cryptocurrencies, their underlying technologies, and custodial operational processes.
- Share knowledge within the team to prevent single points of failure and foster collaborative relationships for common goals.
Communication and Influence:
- Coach team members when necessary and identify process shortcomings.
- Exude "executive presence" when interfacing with financial investors and C-level executives.
- Actively contribute to discussions, improving productivity and conveying insights tactfully across teams.
- Establish relationships with key partners to support Compliance and Product departments as well as external counterparties.
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to resolve settlement-related issues.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years supporting institutional client settlement activities.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and adaptability to identify risks and pivot strategies as needed.
Bonus Qualification:
- Experience in Python, SQL, or database querying languages.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Market-driven and data-informed compensation, including a competitive salary, generous equity, and comprehensive benefits package.
- Total Annual Compensation Range: €40,000 - €45,000; subject to adjustment during the interview process based on skills and experience.
