In the role of Member of Trading Operations, your core responsibilities revolve around supporting clients in their daily activities. This includes ensuring timely settlements, reconciliations, and implementing robust risk mitigation strategies for various digital asset instruments throughout the post-trade lifecycle. This demanding position requires a profound understanding of cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, financial operations, and risk management. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills, adeptness in handling complex tasks, organizational awareness, and strong communication and influencing abilities. Mastery of settlement operations, regulatory considerations, and operational procedures is crucial. Collaborating with client operations across multiple teams and closely working with client operations are paramount to ensuring smooth processes and continually enhancing procedures.

Technical Skills:
- Broad expertise in traditional financial services, products, and strategies to offer strategic support to clients in their implementation of strategies.
- Efficient management of all counterparty and client settlement requests within agreed-upon SLAs along with monitoring progress towards meeting trade operation KPIs.
- Execution of day-to-day spot, lending, and derivatives operations ensuring accurate completion of relevant processes within prescribed timeframes and per established protocols.
- Utilization of blockchain explorers, trading platforms, and other relevant software and tools for reconciling and monitoring activities of different digital assets across internal ledgers and external systems.
- Administration of cash positioning and inventory management for various product flows to optimize treasury management, mitigate risks, and streamline client settlements.
- Collaboration with engineering and product teams to enhance workflows in trading, settlement, and risk operations.
- Partnership with Accounting and Finance teams for the timely provision of accurate trade and settlement data, resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Implementation of process improvement Initiatives to maximize operational efficiency.
- Thorough understanding of the crypto industry landscape, tokens, protocols, and their deployment across various verticals.
Complexity and Impact of Work:
- Quick adaptation to evolving business strategies, introduction of new products, and emerging tasks.
- Effective processing of transactions involving a variety of digital assets ranging from cryptocurrencies to tokenized assets and fiat currencies.

Organizational Knowledge:
- Up-to-date knowledge of cryptocurrency industry trends, regulatory guidelines, and best practices related to settlements and custodial services.
- Robust understanding of different cryptocurrencies, underlying technologies, and custodianship operational processes.
- Promoting knowledge sharing within the team to avoid single points of failure.
- Understanding of interdepartmental team responsibilities and interests to foster collaborative relationships for common goals.
Communication and Influence:
- Offer coaching to team members as necessary and help identify process shortcomings.
- Exhibit executive presence when interacting with financial investors and C-level executives.
- Engage in meaningful discussions within the team to enhance processes and productivity while effectively conveying insights when working with other teams on projects and issues.
- Form relationships with essential partners, especially Compliance and Product departments, and external counterparties.
- Collaborate seamlessly with internal stakeholders, such as traders, operations teams, compliance officers, and executives, to resolve settlement-related issues.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 3+ years of experience supporting settlement activities for institutional clients in traditional asset classes and crypto assets.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and adaptability to swiftly handle emerging risks and shifts in objectives.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Python and SQL is advantageous.
- Familiarity with crypto-native institutions.
- Passion for contributing to early-stage startups.
- Appreciation for the significance of the Broadway musical "Hamilton" as it relates to financial innovation and establishment.
