At Anchorage Digital, Product Designers play a pivotal role in delving deep into the products we develop and the challenges we tackle, aiming to introduce innovative patterns that harmonize traditional financial processes with the crypto sphere.

Product Designers tackle unprecedented queries for institutional users, such as ensuring both secure fund transfers and high efficiency, balancing individual privacy needs with the transparent blockchain environment, and facilitating client engagement in on-chain proposals involving new digital assets.

Joining a team of designers characterized by intentionality, collaboration, and unyielding curiosity, you will play a fundamental role in shaping design practices within our rapidly expanding company. This role presents a unique opportunity to influence the future of finance by redefining how institutions worldwide interact with digital assets.

We have outlined the Factors of Growth & Impact to aid team members in measuring their impact and capturing their learning experiences while enhancing their capabilities as Product Design members in the Direct Custody domain:

Technical Skills:

  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to conduct research and engage with customers, exploring a broad array of solutions, concepts, and detailed designs, culminating in selecting the ideal solution with a strong rationale.
  • Demonstrate the ability to predict gaps and opportunities in customer comprehension that can have tangible business implications and think strategically about long-term decisions.
  • Proficient in sketching, flow diagrams, interface design tools, and prototyping tools, utilizing them regularly in their day-to-day work.
  • Design interconnected, comprehensive, and modular systems to facilitate rapid progress in the future.

Complexity and Impact of Work:

  • Spearhead large, strategic, and intricate projects or processes, or tackle open-ended and ambiguous issues identified by peers, technical leads, and managers to be significantly challenging or having a clear impact on Anchorage's success. Apply conceptual thinking to decipher problems and their repercussions.
  • Break down complex projects into manageable initiatives and processes that can be effectively constructed and maintained by the team. Establish work priorities within the team or project, aiding others in recognizing the value of their contributions.
  • Recognize the interdependent nature of their product with other products and departments, fostering alignment with the wider Product, Design, and Engineering team.
  • Influence business direction through the development and design of groundbreaking services or products.

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to translate team strategies into a product vision.

  • Possess highly effective communication skills, writing and presenting concisely and clearly, utilizing storytelling to communicate work effectively.

Requirements for the Role:

  • Possess 5+ years of experience in designing top-tier complex enterprise products.
  • Previous experience in developing financial or crypto products.
  • Ability to strategize, solve intricate challenges across iOS and Web platforms to simplify complex situations.
  • Take ownership of the design process, think holistically, and articulate design decisions that yield user and business value.
  • In-depth knowledge of crafting usable, accessible modular designs with scalability in mind.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of leadership within cross-functional environments.
  • Experience collaborating with product managers and engineers to devise product feature strategies.
  • Capable of providing and receiving feedback constructively, while guiding other designers in their work.
  • Essential traits include being creative, humble, detail-oriented, self-aware, curious, thoughtful, and persistent.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality design work that communicates a narrative emphasizing a design thinking approach.
