ROLE OVERVIEW:

The position of Mining Technician at Foundry, a subsidiary of Digital Currency Group, offers an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual seeking to make a significant impact. Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, the Mining Technician role encompasses various responsibilities, including aiding the Mining Operations team in deploying, maintaining, and overseeing cryptocurrency mining equipment within data center environments.

This vacancy is onsite at one of our locations in the United States.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support the Mining Operations team and maintain proprietary crypto mining activities Install new crypto mining units at data centers Sustain the current operational fleet of crypto mining machines Apply technical expertise to conduct necessary repairs and maintenance on mining equipment Manage equipment maintenance, including replacing fans, power supplies, and other hardware Coordinate equipment shipping and receiving with the Operations team Set programming parameters on equipment through software systems Record inventory of equipment and spare parts Engage in general site maintenance as required

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Experience with managing computer hardware Effective communication skills Self-motivated individual focused on objectives Capability to prioritize tasks/goals and adapt to evolving company strategies Aptitude to learn new operational practices and suggest improvements Strong organizational skills Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly Physical agility to bend, squat, and stand for extended periods Willingness to travel as needed — at least 20% of time nationwide Availability to work in a warehouse environment with associated conditions

Preferred Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree Interest and familiarity with cryptocurrencies Experience in Bitcoin mining Proficiency in advanced MS Office applications
