Monetization Specialist

As a Monetization Specialist at Seedworld, you will have a vital role in operating our games as a successful business. Your main task will involve maximizing revenue potential through the creation, implementation, and optimization of monetization strategies that align with customer lifecycle needs. You will collaborate closely with product managers, game designers, data analysts, and marketing teams to establish and enhance monetization models that enrich player engagement and satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Devise and implement comprehensive monetization strategies for our video games, emphasizing in-game purchases, subscriptions, and other revenue streams.
- Analyze player behavior across various customer lifecycle stages to develop tailored monetization solutions that boost player engagement, retention, and lifetime value.
- Utilize data analytics to track and enhance the performance of monetization initiatives, including in-game economy, pricing models, and promotional events. Identify improvement opportunities and make data-informed decisions to boost revenue.
- Collaborate with game designers, product managers, and marketing teams to seamlessly integrate monetization strategies with game design and user experience.
- Design and execute A/B tests and other experiments to assess the effectiveness of different monetization tactics and strategies.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging monetization techniques to ensure our games remain at the forefront of competition and innovation.
- Prepare regular reports on monetization performance, offering insights and recommendations to stakeholders and management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Game Design, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in monetization, game operations, or product management in the video game industry.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth in free-to-play or live-service games.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and BI tools. Knowledge of game development tools and platforms is advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of game economies, user acquisition, retention, and engagement strategies. Familiarity with various monetization models, including in-app purchases, subscription services, and ad-based monetization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and present complex ideas.
- Genuine passion for video games and a profound understanding of player motivations and behavior.
