Description
Responsibilties
- Develop and iterate the product design for the payment middle platform, order system, and clearing module in Europe and Latin America, serving as the key individual for the core payment infrastructure product line.
- Create and execute the product development roadmap for the global fiat payment platform, focusing on backend capabilities.
- Lead the design of the full lifecycle management system for orders, including order creation, status transition, timeout handling, and reconciliation closed loop.
- Design the clearing system, encompassing settlements, reconciliation rules, error handling, and fund verification.
- Propose integration strategies for global payment channels to ensure scalable and standardized frameworks.
- Build and enhance core system modules for transaction lifecycle management, success rate optimization, latency reduction, and failure handling.
- Collaborate with engineering, risk, compliance, and finance teams to devise solid systems for settlement, reconciliation, and fund flow management.
- Drive platform-level enhancements to support global scalability through architecture, frameworks, and system abstraction.
- Define and monitor key system metrics to drive continuous optimization through data and experimentation.
- Collaborate with internal product teams to seamlessly integrate payment capabilities across the ecosystem.
- Identify system gaps and drive execution in a complex environment as an individual contributor.
Requirements
- Minimum 6–10 years of product management experience, preferably in payments, fintech, or platform/infrastructure.
- Extensive experience in payment systems like payment orchestration, transaction platforms, or cashier/back-end payment systems.
- Profound understanding of payment lifecycle, routing, retries, success rate optimization, and failure handling.
- Proficient in backend system design, APIs, and working closely with engineering teams on architecture.
- Strong analytical skills, data-driven mindset, and experience using metrics for decision-making.
- Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects in a global or multi-region environment.
- Ownership mindset, structured thinking, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to global payment methods and bank rails like ACH, SEPA, FPS, PIX, UPI, or large-scale PSP integrations.
- Understanding of settlement, reconciliation, ledger systems, or fund flow design.
- Familiarity with settlement models, clearing cycles, foreign exchange processing logic, and transaction platforms.
- Experience or interest in Web3, crypto, or exchange products.
- Previous work on high-throughput, high-reliability backend systems.
