The Impact You'll Have

The individual in the role of Payments Market Lead at Notabene will be tasked with identifying and establishing product-market compatibility for the company's transaction authorization platform across various potential markets within financial institutions' business operations. This position involves recognizing and leveraging opportunities beyond usual areas like compliance, to propel our cutting-edge transaction authorization platform.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research to pinpoint and prioritize promising markets for Notabene's transaction authorization platform within the global payments sector.
• Devise and implement go-to-market strategies for key markets, defining customer segments, value propositions, and strategic collaborations.
• Cultivate strategic partnerships with industry frontrunners such as stablecoin operators, payment service providers (PSPs), and e-commerce platforms to drive adoption.
• Work collaboratively with product engineering teams to tailor and expand existing solutions for new markets.
• Launch pilot programs with early adopters to validate product-market viability and gather insightful feedback.
• Act as a thought leader within the payments and fintech realms, actively engaging in industry dialogue through content creation, public speaking engagements, and establishing relationships with key stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of trends in the payments industry, encompassing regulatory updates, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics, to inform strategic decisions effectively.

Requirements

• 6-10 years of experience in payment networks, payment service providers, merchant services, or fintech entities, including at least 3 years in an early-stage or crypto-oriented company.
• Proficiency in identifying and ranking target markets, backed by comprehensive market research and analysis.
• Demonstrated capability in formulating go-to-market strategies and forging alliances with pivotal industry players such as stablecoin operators, PSPs, and e-commerce platforms.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, coupled with a history of contributing to the body of thought leadership.
• Proven aptitude in project management and organizational skills, particularly in leading interdisciplinary teams in a dynamic setting.
• Strategic mindset with the capacity to anticipate downstream consequences of business decisions and allocate resources effectively.
• Geographically based in Europe or the US East Coast.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with cryptocurrency markets and regulatory frameworks.
• Direct involvement in establishing partnerships with companies like Fireblocks, Copper, or Circle.
• Location preference for London, New York, Zürich, or Berlin.
