Product Design Lead
About the Role:
The product design team transforms intricate challenges into straightforward, sophisticated, and captivating user journeys for both web and mobile platforms. Their responsibilities encompass guiding the design process from initial user research and wireframing to delivering precise visual specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 2-3 product designers by fostering collaboration, providing feedback, and offering guidance.
- Work closely with various product managers responsible for diverse features in the Main App to set deadlines, delivery schedules, and priorities.
- Support and mentor designers by creating a positive atmosphere that nurtures their professional development.
- Engage in designing activities to effectively convey ideas, provide direction, or offer additional assistance.
- Define, uphold, and enhance an efficient design workflow for the team.
- Share extensive design expertise by training and supporting fellow designers.
- Conduct user research such as one-on-one interviews, focus groups, and usability tests.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to grasp and execute the overarching vision and strategy.
- Present and explain design approaches, decisions, and rationale to other departments.
Requirements:
- Profound expertise in design practices with the ability to contribute substantially to the team.
- Extensive background in designing multiple B2C digital products/services for a global audience.
- Strong portfolio showcasing examples of digital product and service design.
- Thorough comprehension of user-centered design and UX principles, with a keen creative vision for designing strategic roadmaps with senior stakeholders.
- Skilled in overseeing and delivering multiple projects while ensuring high-quality product outcomes.
- Previous experience in leading and developing a design team.
- A visionary leader capable of aligning creative vision with business objectives and efficiently executing ideas with the product design team.
- Additional background or education in relevant fields like graphic design, finance, or development is a plus.
- Portfolio submission is required for consideration.
