Description
Gelato is an all-in-one Ethereum Rollup as a Service Platform built without limits. Designed to be super-fast, incredibly secure, and infinitely scalable, Gelato rollups allow anyone to build and deploy their fully serviced Layer 2 chains on Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, Celestia and more at a pace natively integrated with Web3’s favorite tools and services like Etherscan, The Graph, Pyth, Layer Zero and many more launching a production-ready web3 development environment from the Genesis block.
What things will look like.
- As a solo designer, you’ll autonomy and accountability to lead our design direction.
- This isn’t going to look like your usual dark mode, lumo DEX UI with gradients.
- You’ll play an instrumental role in architecting our systems, working with our other FE engineer, our CTO (co-founder) and product manager.
- Own the end-to-end user journey and all aspects of design execution from ideation, to prototyping, to user testing, to final production
- Draw upon our new visual identity and take it to new heights working hand-in-hand with our in-house graphic designer.
- Deeply involved in discovery including speaking to users.
- Ideate frequently with our founders (CEO and CTO).
- We prioritise learning and shipping. We keep processes minimal.
- Craft delightful experiences
- We avoid unnecessary meetings. We plan on Mondays and do demos on Fridays. That’s pretty much it. We have ad hoc working sessions and do async daily updates.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Product Design experience
- Exemplary product thinking abilities, solutions oriented, and capable of working autonomously
- Balances principle led thinking with pragmatism
- Proven track record of working within a product team to ship successful products to users
- Sharp attention to detail and mastery over your craft: visual design, interaction design, and prototyping
- Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management experience
- Thrives in fast-paced (sometimes ambiguous) environment
- Fluency in Figma
- Low ego, loves to collaborate, and open minded
- Avid user of crypto
Nice to haves
- Design experience working on B2B financial products such as fintech, trading or anythng regarding the movement of money.
- Crypto industry experience. You don’t need to have worked in crypto before joining
