About the Role:
We are searching for a Product Design Lead to spearhead a team of designers within the Main App division. This role entails steering the design direction across various products within the app, guiding product designers, collaborating with product managers, and fostering a constructive environment for the team to produce top-notch design work.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor a team of 2-3 product designers by actively engaging in design collaboration, feedback, and guidance.
- Partner with multiple product managers responsible for different features in the Main App to establish project timelines, priorities, and deliverables.
- Provide support, coaching, and mentorship to designers, ensuring a positive and productive design environment that nurtures their professional growth.
- Step in with design work when necessary to communicate ideas, provide guidance, or offer additional support.
- Implement, uphold, and optimize an effective design process tailored to the team's needs.
- Share your vast knowledge and expertise in design to coach and develop the designers under your supervision.
- Oversee and conduct user research activities, such as user interviews, focus groups, and usability tests.
- Collaborate with the executive team to comprehend and align design strategies with the overarching vision and goals of the organization.
- Present and articulate design decisions, directions, and rationales to other cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
- Exceptional proficiency in design with a demonstrable skill set that significantly contributes to the team.
- Extensive experience designing multiple B2C digital products/services for global audiences.
- Strong portfolio showcasing digital product and service designs.
- In-depth understanding of user-centered design principles, user experience fundamentals, and a creative vision to develop design roadmaps in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
- Capable of managing multiple projects concurrently to deliver high-quality products at scale.
- Track record of building and mentoring design teams.
- Well-versed leader with a keen creative vision who comprehends business objectives, exercises effective leadership, and successfully executes ideas with the product design team.
- Preferably, background or experience in relevant fields like graphic design, finance, or development.
- Submission of a portfolio is mandatory for consideration.
