Product Design Manager

About the Role:
Qualified applicants are desired to assume the position of a Product Design Lead overseeing a team of designers within the Main App sector. This role involves guiding the design direction of multiple products in the app, supporting fellow designers, collaborating with product managers, and fostering a positive work atmosphere to ensure the delivery of top-notch design work.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor 2-3 product designers by encouraging collaboration, providing feedback, and offering guidance.
- Collaborate with various product managers overseeing distinct features in the Main App to define timelines, priorities, and ensure timely delivery.
- Provide support, coaching, and mentorship to designers, cultivating a conducive design environment for their progression.
- Engage in design tasks when necessary to convey concepts, provide direction, or lend additional assistance.
- Establish, update, and uphold an effective design process for the team.
- Share extensive design expertise and knowledge with team members to enhance their skills.
- Conduct user research activities, such as one-on-one user interviews, focus groups, and usability tests.
- Liaise with the executive team to comprehend and implement the overarching vision and strategy.
- Present and articulate design concepts, decisions, and underlying reasoning to other departments.
Requirements:
- Possess exceptional design expertise and a strong skill set conducive to team advancement.
- Proven experience in designing numerous B2C digital products/services for global audiences.
- Showcase a robust portfolio with examples of digital product and service design.
- Deep comprehension of user-centered design and user experience principles, coupled with a keen creative vision to strategize design roadmaps with senior stakeholders.
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering high-quality products at scale.
- Demonstrated track record of developing and coaching design teams.
- Strong leadership skills, a creative vision, business acumen, and proficiency in executing ideas with the product design team.
