Role Overview

We are looking for a Product Designer with 6-8 years of experience to play a critical role in designing and enhancing our product ecosystem within the financial technology sector, focusing on derivatives and event contracts. This role requires a strong product sense and the ability to shape user-friendly trading experiences that enable users to confidently interact with complex financial instruments.

This position is suited for individuals deeply immersed in the crypto space who can articulate market nuances and comprehend how traders operate in volatile environments. Candidates must demonstrate a profound understanding of theoretical concepts and show the capability to evaluate projects, narratives, and the broader financial landscape effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Owning the design process from research and ideation to high-fidelity UI design and production for derivatives and event contract products.
• Collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and quantitative analysts to create intuitive trading interfaces aligned with market needs.
• Simplifying complex financial product challenges and transforming them into seamless user experiences.
• Challenging traditional design paradigms by asking insightful questions to reveal user needs.
• Bridging traditional finance and emerging crypto platforms by translating complexity into user-friendly interfaces.
• Conducting user research to enhance product experiences and improve usability.
• Iterating on feedback and data insights to enhance the trading platform continually.

Specific Skills Required

Domain Knowledge

• Comprehensive understanding of derivatives trading, market mechanics, and the needs of active traders.
• Familiar with decentralized finance (DeFi) and crypto-based derivatives platforms.
• Experience in designing real-time data-heavy interfaces and risk management dashboards.
• Awareness of regulatory considerations impacting derivatives markets.

Design

• Proficiency in the product design process, Figma, responsive web design principles, and mobile-first approaches.
• Ability to develop and maintain comprehensive design systems and component libraries.
• Experience in designing data-heavy interfaces and complex financial workflows.

Research

• Conducting user research, usability testing, and utilizing findings to enhance design.
• Proficiency in user testing tools and A/B testing methodologies.
