Role Overview:

We are seeking a Product Designer with 5-8 years of experience who excels in fast-paced, intricate problem domains. This role demands profound product insight, a strong sense of responsibility, and an innate comprehension of the crypto trading ecosystem. You will design user experiences tailored for both individual traders and professionals, ensuring each interaction is clear, swift, and instills trust.

This position is not suitable for individuals with a passing interest in crypto. We require a designer deeply immersed in the field, capable of outlining market cycles intricacies, and knowledgeable of how traders make choices in volatile settings. You should be able to discuss not only theoretical concepts but also demonstrate the ability to assess projects, storylines, and the broader financial domain in a meaningful manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize this role as more than just refining visuals. We are searching for a design collaborator who perceives every interface as a complex puzzle awaiting an elegant solution. You will be:
• Managing the entire design process for derivatives and event contract products, from research and conceptualization to high-fidelity UI design and production.
• Working closely with product managers, engineers, and quantitative analysts to translate market requirements into intuitive and efficient trading interfaces.
• Breaking down complex financial product challenges, then reconstructing them into intuitive experiences that feel nearly seamless.
• Questioning existing design paradigms with insightful inquiries that unearth deeper user necessities.
• Navigating the intricate interface between traditional finance and evolving crypto platforms, simplifying complexity into clarity.
• Conducting user research with active traders to refine product experiences and optimize usability.
• Swiftly iterating on feedback and data insights to fuel ongoing enhancements in our trading platform.

Specific Skills Required:

• Domain Knowledge:
• Active involvement in the crypto market, with hands-on experience trading or investing in digital assets.
• The ability to articulate investment theses behind owned tokens in-depth, beyond surface-level narratives.
• Profound understanding of major crypto exchanges, DeFi protocols, and on-chain activities.
• Awareness of market trends, liquidity dynamics, and essential financial instruments in crypto.
• Knowledge of regulatory considerations influencing crypto trading and digital asset products.
• Design:
• Proven expertise in the end-to-end product design process, from user research and wireframing to high-fidelity prototypes and design systems.
• Exceptional proficiency in Figma for interface design, prototyping, and upkeep of design systems.
• Strong experience with responsive web design principles and mobile-first strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to design comprehensive design systems and component libraries.
• Skill in crafting data-intensive interfaces and elaborate financial workflows.
• Research:
• Proficiency in conducting user research, usability testing, and translating insights into actionable design enhancements.
• Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data to guide design decisions.
• Proficiency with user testing tools such as UserTesting, Maze, or similar platforms.
• Experience with A/B testing methods and interpreting test outcomes.
