Role Overview:

We are seeking a Product Designer with 5-8 years of experience who excels in dynamic, intricate problem domains. This role demands a profound product-oriented mindset, a strong sense of responsibility, and an intuitive grasp of the crypto trading sector. Your role will involve designing engaging experiences catering to both retail traders and professionals, ensuring each interaction is clear, efficient, and trustworthy.

This position is not suited for someone with a passing interest in crypto. We require a designer ingrained in the space, able to articulate the complexities of market cycles, and knowledgeable about how traders make decisions in volatile conditions. You should not only be able to discuss high-level theoretical concepts but also showcase a capability to assess projects, narratives, and the broader financial domain in a meaningful manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take on this role as more than a mere pixel pusher. We need a design collaborator who identifies each interface as a complex puzzle awaiting an elegant solution. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the entire design process for derivatives and event contract products, from research and ideation to high-fidelity UI design and production.

• Collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and quantitative analysts to transform market needs into intuitive, effective trading interfaces.

• Deconstructing complex financial product challenges and reimagining them into intuitively seamless experiences.

• Challenging established design paradigms with insightful questions that uncover deeper user requirements.

• Navigating the intricate landscape between traditional finance and emerging crypto platforms, simplifying complexity into clarity.

• Conducting user research with active traders to refine product experiences and enhance usability.

• Iterating swiftly based on feedback and data insights to facilitate continuous enhancements on our trading platform.

Specific Skills Required:

Domain Knowledge

• Active involvement in the crypto market with hands-on experience trading or investing in digital assets.
• Capability to explain investment rationales for held tokens beyond surface-level narratives.
• Profound understanding of major crypto exchanges, DeFi protocols, and on-chain activities.
• Familiarity with market trends, liquidity dynamics, and essential financial instruments in crypto.
• Awareness of regulatory considerations impacting crypto trading and digital asset products.

Design

• Demonstrated mastery of the entire product design process, from user research and wireframing to high-fidelity prototypes and design systems.
• Proficient in using Figma for interface design, prototyping, and maintaining design systems.
• Substantial experience in responsive web design principles and mobile-first strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to produce, contribute to, and sustain comprehensive design systems and component libraries.
• Competent in designing data-heavy interfaces and intricate financial workflows.

Research

• Exposure to conducting user research, usability testing, and translating findings into actionable design enhancements.
• Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data to drive design decisions.
• Proficiency in utilizing user testing tools such as UserTesting, Maze, or equivalent platforms.
• Experience with A/B testing methodologies and interpreting test results.
