Product Manager
About Toku
The crypto industry has experienced significant growth in recent years, leading to heightened regulatory considerations. Embracing regulation is viewed as a positive step that promotes broader adoption.
Companies that adeptly transition from pre-regulation to post-regulation environments, navigating regulatory changes compliantly or actively supporting them, are positioned as key players in the future landscape. Toku is poised to become such a pivotal company.
Toku offers products that empower crypto-native businesses to lawfully compensate their global teams using both traditional currency and tokens in more than 100 countries worldwide. Notable clients who benefit from Toku's solutions include Aragon, Astar, dYdX, Filecoin Foundation, Gitcoin, Gnosis, Hedera Hashgraph, Protocol Labs, Teller, Safe, Storyverse, among others.
Leveraging tokens for employee compensation represents a fundamental and early real-world application of any token, irrespective of its other functionalities. Toku ensures that all token-based remuneration is handled in accordance with the law, including the correct payment of taxes. This function is crucial for the smooth transition to a post-regulation era in the crypto industry.
Recently, Toku secured $20 million in funding from a group led by Blockchain Capital, with support from Protocol Labs, GMJP, OrangeDAO, Orrick, Reverie, Quantstamp, Next Web Capital, and notable angel investors like Juan Benet of Protocol Labs and Nikil Viswanathan and Joe Lau of Alchemy.
