Job Responsibilities:
- Engage in hands-on manual investigation and reproduction of functional backend software issues
- Conduct root cause analysis of existing test script failures
- Identify deficiencies in current test scripts and areas for enhanced scripted coverage
- Perform investigatory testing of upcoming features, defining requirements, behavior, and impact
- Document and design test scenarios for the aforementioned tasks
Job Requirements:
- 3+ years of backend QA engineering experience; frontend manual/auto testing experience is a plus
- Proficient in full-cycle testing - from designing manual tests to script development and execution
- Strong familiarity with UNIX/Linux systems
- Ability to script using Python, Bash, or Java
- Experience in testing backend services like APIs, databases, and distributed services (non-monolithic)
- Thrive on problem-solving and enjoy breaking things down to understand both the 'what' and 'why' behind issues
