The QA Engineer's role centers on validating current and upcoming functionalities. This individual collaborates with the QA Expert/Lead and developers to identify potential test scenarios, appraise the need for enhanced testing methods, and aid in transitioning the team toward agile testing practices.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and implement detailed test plans while contributing to the definition of acceptance criteria.
- Present comprehensive analysis of test failures to enable engineering teams to implement necessary corrective measures.
- Evaluate risks derived from test outcomes and proactively communicate potential issues to the squad.
- Ensure effective communication with various stakeholders through meticulous and well-structured reports.
- Employ comprehensive testing strategies to uphold product quality.
- Execute and apply extensive exploratory testing to recognize potential risks.
- Engage the squad in agile testing methodologies, share insights, and foster discussions on existing practices.
- Partner with QA automation team to establish specifications and acceptance criteria for test scenarios and tools.
- Play an active role in utilizing automated testing solutions.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
- Proficiency in Unix commands.
- Team player with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in black box and grey box testing techniques.
- Sound understanding of development processes and agile methodology.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker containers.
- Holds an engineering degree.
