Job Summary:
We are in search of a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of a QA Tester within our team, responsible for testing our game Seedworld. Your main tasks will involve conducting manual tests, performing bug regression, and ensuring the game's quality and performance standards are met. Collaborating closely with a team of testers, you will be actively involved in identifying and resolving issues efficiently, in addition to liaising with software developers to address bugs and suggest enhancements, thereby contributing to an improved gaming experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough manual testing on new versions to validate all features and functionalities.
- Document detailed test outcomes, highlighting any irregularities or discrepancies, and offer constructive feedback to the development team.
- Utilize Jira as a defect tracking tool to log and manage issues systematically, ensuring proper documentation and prioritization for resolution.
- Work collaboratively with fellow QA team members to foster an efficient and cohesive testing process.
- Proactively anticipate potential problems, propose enhancements, and maintain a forward-thinking approach, particularly in high-pressure scenarios.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience within the gaming industry or a relevant domain, demonstrating a sound grasp of game testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in Agile frameworks and regression testing methodologies is advantageous, allowing for streamlined and impactful testing procedures.
- Strong eye for detail, ensuring comprehensive testing of all game aspects and timely issue identification.
- Proficient in utilizing test management tools to create and execute test cases efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey test results clearly and collaborate effectively with the team.
- A strong passion for video games, both professionally and personally, would be beneficial, enhancing comprehension and enthusiasm for the role.
