Quantitative Researcher - Prediction Markets, Quant Trading
We are establishing a new quantitative research team dedicated to developing pricing, market-making, and risk models for prediction markets. This role requires extensive hands-on involvement in data engineering, research, modeling, and collaborating closely with traders across various event markets, including sports and non-sports, encompassing different contract types such as single-outcome markets, player props, and parlays.
Responsibilities:
- Establish a robust data foundation by transforming raw data into pricing inputs.
- Conduct research and build quantitative pricing, market-making, and risk models for sports, non-sports, player props, parlays, and correlated markets.
- Model cross-market dependencies, correlations, and portfolio effects, with special focus on combinatorial products like parlays.
- Collaborate extensively with traders to enhance pricing logic, expand market coverage, and improve trading performance.
- Develop frameworks for backtesting, simulation, and model validation.
- Design tools for monitoring model performance, calibration, P&L attribution, and live trading outcomes.
- Contribute to defining tooling, workflow, and research standards for the new team.
Requirements:
- Solid quantitative background in statistics, mathematics, machine learning, economics, or a related field.
- Prior experience in building models within trading, sports, betting, prediction markets, or similar sectors.
- Proficient in Python/data skills and comfortable managing data pipelines and modeling tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to swiftly progress from raw data to research insights to production-ready models.
- High level of ownership, excellent communication skills, and adaptability to fast-paced, high-growth environments.
The annual salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $150,000.
