Regional Head of Compliance - APAC
Binance, a global blockchain ecosystem and cryptocurrency exchange, is seeking an experienced professional to manage compliance and regulatory matters. The role involves liaising with regulatory bodies, preparing reports for senior management, coordinating filings, developing policies and procedures, monitoring regulatory changes, and ensuring adherence to Anti-Money Laundering procedures. The ideal candidate will have extensive legal or compliance experience, a solid understanding of relevant rules and regulations, excellent organizational and communication skills, and preferably fintech experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead compliance efforts with local and international regulatory bodies
- Provide regular reports and strategic direction to senior management
- Coordinate regulatory filings and design compliance policies
- Collaborate with internal and external advisors on regulatory developments
- Monitor and enforce compliance with Anti-Money Laundering procedures
- Develop training materials and facilitate necessary studies for regulatory adherence
- Track and address compliance considerations for new product launches
- Engage in special projects as required and participate in ongoing compliance reviews
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years' experience in legal or compliance roles
- Strong understanding of compliance affairs and regulations
- Bachelor's degree required; law degree is a plus and advanced degree preferred
- Extensive experience working with regulators and banking partners
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Fintech background advantageous
