Your main responsibility entails spearheading Circle’s market development and expansion efforts in Brazil under the guidance of the VP of Business Development, Americas. Crafting strong relationships with senior leadership figures and key stakeholders, your role involves enhancing awareness and adoption in the local ecosystem. Additionally, you will engage with policymakers and regulators to underscore USDC and blockchain’s strategic significance in driving financial objectives. Leveraging your Brazil-specific expertise, you will collaborate with various Circle teams, such as Senior Leadership, Business Development, Partner Management, Policy, Marketing, and Operations, to amplify our presence thoughtfully and strategically in the region. Over time, your focus will shift towards building and leading a Business Development team to further propel our endeavors in the Brazilian market.
As the owner of Circle’s Brazil OKRs, your tasks include driving monthly active wallet growth, boosting Circle stablecoin adoption, and maximizing utilization of our Web3 Services products in Brazil. It is pivotal to align partnership pursuits and activities in the region with Circle’s mission, technology roadmap, and regulatory objectives. Your key work objectives include forming strategic partnerships, nurturing executive relationships, representing Circle at regional events, engaging with policy organizations, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders for successful market activities, devising a comprehensive Brazil strategy in line with Circle’s roadmap, executing growth plans to establish USDC as a primary stablecoin in Brazil, and assembling a proficient Business Development team to drive growth further.
Essential to this role is a minimum of 13 years of Strategic Business Development experience, along with 5+ years of team management experience. Bringing a VP-level background with an understanding of necessary cross-functional and executive relationships reflects your familiarity with executing successful business initiatives. Preferred experience in financial services, payments, or blockchain/digital asset technology, as well as a demonstrable track record of leading market development efforts that enhance company revenue. Strong communication skills in English and Brazilian Portuguese are a must, with Spanish proficiency considered advantageous. Lastly, a passion for contributing to early-stage growth, a dedication to enhancing company processes, a preference for fast-paced environments, and a drive to support partners and customers are key personal attributes we seek.
