As the Senior Compliance Manager on the Regulatory Compliance team, your primary responsibility is to lead OKX's compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards across various jurisdictions. This role blends strategic oversight of Regulatory Compliance functions with direct involvement in key compliance activities. Your key objectives include aligning regulations with internal policies, policies, and risk controls, addressing compliance gaps, anticipating and adapting to regulatory changes, and developing a robust regulatory examination plan. You will play a crucial role in promoting a compliant culture while bridging communication between senior management, the compliance team, and regulatory authorities.
Responsibilities:
Lead the Regulatory Compliance team, defining goals, monitoring performance, and providing guidance to maintain a motivated and proficient team.
Supervise the enhancement of the company's compliance policies and procedures to ensure accuracy, clarity, and effective mitigation of compliance-related risks.
Direct the alignment of regulatory mandates across relevant jurisdictions with the firm's policies, procedures, and risk controls, fostering a proactive compliance management approach.
Take the lead in responding to regulatory changes, ensuring a prompt integration of new requirements into the compliance framework and operational procedures.
Develop and oversee a thorough audit and regulatory examination process encompassing all stages from notification, document compilation, interviews, live-walkthroughs, response management, finding reviews, and closure.
Manage and monitor audit and regulatory examination findings to ensure they are duly tracked and rectified in a timely manner.
Act as a senior liaison with regulatory bodies, representing the firm in intricate compliance discussions and negotiations while maintaining positive and proactive relationships with regulators.
Drive compliance support for licensing applications, ensuring a streamlined strategy addressing both local and central compliance requisites.
Establish and manage a comprehensive compliance training program to enhance regulatory awareness and compliance adherence across the organization.
Coordinate strategic planning sessions with senior management to align regulatory compliance strategies with the overall business objectives of the firm.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, IT, or related field preferred; Master's degree would be advantageous.
Extensive experience in senior compliance roles demonstrating leadership in formulating and executing compliance strategies within the crypto industry or similar regulated sectors.
Profound understanding of global regulatory landscapes with specific expertise aligning with the firm's operations in US, Asia, or EU/MENA regions.
Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record in team management and fostering a compliance-focused culture.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, adept at engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.
Demonstrated proficiency in policy and procedure development with a focus on precision, clarity, and compliance risk management.
Professional certifications in compliance such as ACAMS, DipICA, or equivalent highly valued.
Nice-to-Have:
Exposure to or keen interest in the crypto industry, including familiarity with blockchain technology.
Experience with risk management frameworks and compliance software solutions.
Previous involvement in managing compliance initiatives and teams across various jurisdictions.
Prior experience working within regulatory agencies.

- The salary for this role ranges between $195,000 - $232,000, subject to individual qualifications, experience, skills, and location. Performance bonuses and long-term incentives may also form part of the total compensation package, alongside extensive financial and medical benefits.
