Regulatory Counsel - Middle East
Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
- Support in a wide array of legal and regulatory issues, including assessments, licensing, product evaluations, and investigations in the Middle East, particularly focusing on the UAE and Bahrain.
- Offer legal and regulatory assistance to local and global business teams on product launches and marketing initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulations and drafting product terms.
- Collaborate with different operational teams to ensure efficient and compliant business operations.
- Proactively identify legal challenges, provide strategic support to local teams, and work with legal counterparts in various time zones to offer continuous legal support.
- Stay informed about evolving laws and regulations in the crypto industry to provide strategic advice and promote compliance.
Requirements:
- Must be a qualified lawyer from a common law jurisdiction with at least 5-7 years of post-qualification experience.
- Previous experience in interactions with financial regulatory bodies would be beneficial.
- In-house legal experience in relevant sectors like Financial Services, Fintech, or Technology Corporations is highly desirable.
- Strong legal expertise coupled with good business acumen and judgment skills.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic global setting, maintaining effective communication with teams in multiple locations.
- Excellent drafting skills, keen attention to detail, and adept problem-solving capabilities.
- Hands-on approach with the ability to manage complex projects independently.
- Experience in crypto-related legal matters is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of the Arabic language is advantageous but not essential.
