Responsibilities:
- Supporting on various legal and regulatory aspects, including assessment of regulatory boundaries, licensing and registration processes, product evaluations, regulatory inquiries, and providing guidance on advertising and consumer protection matters specific to financial products/services within the FinTech, crypto, and blockchain sectors in the EU.
- Offering legal and regulatory assistance to local and global business divisions during product launches and marketing initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and drafting product terms.
- Maintaining solid relationships through effective contract management, budgeting, and timely communication.
- Staying updated on evolving laws and regulations pertinent to the crypto sector, delivering strategic advice and fostering compliance.
- Identifying legal issues, proposing solutions, and extending support to local business teams proactively.
- Collaborating with global legal team members in different time zones to provide continuous legal support.
- Establishing and managing relationships with external legal representatives.
- Representing the company in legal proceedings if required, advocating for the company's interests effectively.
Requirements:
- Must be a licensed Lawyer at the Spanish Bar.
- Possess 5-10 years of post-qualification legal experience.
- Graduate from a reputable University, preferably holding a Master's Degree in Financial or Tech Laws.
- Trained at a top-tier international law firm.
- Previous exposure to the crypto, FinTech, or blockchain industries would be beneficial.
- Experience in interacting with financial regulatory bodies is an added advantage.
- Pragmatic with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced global setting.
- Skilled in managing complex projects and collaborating with teams across multiple locations and cultural backgrounds.
- Competent in time management to meet tight deadlines efficiently.
- Demonstrates a profound interest in FinTech and cryptocurrency mass adoption.
