Role Overview:

We are in search of a skilled Research Analyst specialized in Blockchain technology to join the Institute of Free Technology team. The role entails analyzing market trends, tracking competitors, and offering strategic insights to aid decision-making across the organization's portfolio. The ideal candidate will regularly provide data-backed recommendations to help optimize products and market strategies.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Generate routine reports and updates to inform the IFT strategy and portfolio management.
• Forecast the valuation of various portfolio companies, concentrating on medium-term horizons.
• Conduct risk and probability assessments across industries and advancements to present actionable insights and identify potential opportunities.
• Stay abreast of web3 trends and developments, assessing their influence on the IFT portfolio.
• Independently conduct market validation and opportunity sizing analyses from start to finish.
• Perform in-depth analyses of competitors' strategies, market performance, and technological progress to offer competitive advantage insights and market positioning tips.

Qualifications:

• At least 3-5 years of experience as a Research Analyst (or similar role) in the web3 industry.
• Proficient in mathematics, statistics, and numerical analysis.
• Demonstrated expertise in working with extensive datasets.
• Sound knowledge of Google Analytics and SQL.
• Capable of conveying stories compellingly and communicating effectively, both in writing and verbally.
• Proven track record of collaborating in cross-functional teams and handling multiple projects concurrently with various stakeholders.
• Comfortable navigating complexity and ambiguity to enhance overall effectiveness.

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience working remotely and asynchronously.
• Background in open-source organization environments.
