Research Analyst Intern

Job Summary:
Research Analysts are pivotal to the Dewhales workflow, responsible for evaluating and reviewing projects, engaging with team members and the community, and supporting portfolio projects post-approval.
This position requires a blend of critical thinking, industry expertise, and writing skills. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the crypto landscape, token economics, strong analytical skills, attention to details, and a track record of producing detailed analysis of Web3 projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Internal Filter:
- Work with associates to evaluate new projects during the internal filter stage, ensuring only high-potential projects are added to the dashboard.
2. Initial Assessment:
- Conduct a thorough initial analysis of projects added to the dashboard, focusing on their business model, market opportunity, financials, team, and technology.
3. Detailed Evaluation:
- Perform in-depth evaluations for projects that have received a 51%+ upvote rate.
4. Group engagement:
- Actively engage with members in the group, providing insights and opinions on projects to foster engagement and collaboration.
- Help explain project details and answer questions to ensure the team and members fully understands the project's potential and risks.
5. Post-Approval Support:
- Draft articles and reports on concluded projects, highlighting key achievements, milestones, and future plans.
- Collaborate with the portfolio advisor to support approved projects, ensuring they receive necessary resources and guidance for a successful go-to-market (GTM) strategy.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in the crypto industry, preferably in a researcher or analyst role.
- Strong analytical and writing skills.
- Expertise analyzing and/or designing token economics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work with startups and guide them through growth stages.
- Strong network within the crypto and blockchain community.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Optional: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
