Rust Engineer (Greenfield project)

Job Summary:

A dynamic team is seeking a talented individual to contribute to the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of software for innovative ventures. The role involves active participation in creating scalable applications, spanning from frontend UI to backend infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Take part in development activities, including proposing architectural decisions, contributing to designs, conducting design and code reviews, and implementing solutions to address complex problems within the blockchain protocol.
• Analyze and resolve challenging issues throughout the blockchain protocol.
• Collaborate closely with operations and infrastructure teams to construct high-scale backend services.
• Manage the documentation of all implemented code and functionalities.
• Partner with DevOps and ecosystem engineers to enhance the tech stack for future engineering endeavors.

Requirements

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, capable of managing conflicting requirements from diverse stakeholders.

• Openness to learning, collaborative working style, and receptive to feedback.
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, preferably with a strong background in backend development (e.g., Go, Rust, Java, Erlang).
• Hands-on experience with basic cryptographic primitives (e.g., BouncyCastle in Java), such as digital signatures, key exchange, and encryption methodologies.
• Fundamental knowledge of distributed systems and consensus algorithms like Raft or PBFT.
• Interest in or experience with Go or Rust.
• Previous exposure to blockchain system internals is advantageous but not mandatory.
