Screening Escalations Analyst

Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate expertise in financial crime compliance, including understanding risks, controls, industry best practices, and regulatory obligations.
- Fulfill the L3 Compliance role by addressing name screening alerts related to Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), Adverse Media, and Sanctions that cannot be resolved at L1 and L2 Operations levels.
- Conduct Open Source Intelligence Research to evaluate potential true positives, perform risk assessments, and present findings to senior compliance stakeholders.
- Collaborate within a team to provide practical advice to stakeholders on effectively managing financial crime, sanctions, and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (AB&C) risks, while keeping them informed of relevant developments.
- Evaluate processes that identify, document, and assess compliance risks associated with Binance's operations, offering advice and advocacy where necessary.
- Review escalated FCC/Sanctions/AB&C related risk profiles from internal teams; assess their impact on internal projects, policies, procedures, processes, and systems.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in financial crime or sanctions compliance.
- Proficient in banking business practices, processes, procedures, and systems.
- Background in startup or fintech industry is advantageous.
- Possess a university degree.
- Additional certifications such as ACAMS or ACFCS are a bonus.
- Strong analytical and writing capabilities along with sound judgment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and independently prioritize tasks.
- Self-assured, results-oriented mindset with a penchant for innovative solutions.
- Prior experience in stakeholder management is beneficial.
