Key Responsibilities:
Circle is in search of an accomplished Senior Accountant to join the vibrant Digital Assets and Investments team. In this capacity, you will serve as the lead representative for accounting needs relating to digital assets and investments transactional flow, encompassing reconciliations, journal entries, exception monitoring and analysis, data integrity, disclosure reporting, and process automation. As part of a multi-entity, international corporation, you will collaborate with global accounting teams for cross-training, month-end financial closure, disclosure reporting, and providing audit assistance regarding corporate digital assets. Additionally, close collaboration is expected with various teams including data and engineering, product, treasury, risk, and general finance departments.
Key Duties:
- Facilitating month-end closure processes for digital assets and investments.
- Conducting variance analysis and scrutinizing account modifications to ensure the accuracy of balances in our GL and financial statements.
- Aiding in critical disclosure reports and regulatory submissions.
- Identifying areas for process enhancement and liaising with cross-functional teams to instigate automation and improvement efforts in reporting practices.
- Furnishing reporting requisites to interdepartmental partners and ensuring completeness and accuracy for both existing and new product launches.
- Collaborating on the integration of digital assets accounting software and ERP systems.
- Assisting with relevant SOX compliance, audits, and tax obligations.
- Undertaking special accounting analyses and projects as directed.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- At least 4 years of accounting experience; Big 4 tenure and CPA certification preferred.
- Hands-on experience with detailed and data-intensive reconciliations.
- Strong knowledge of technical accounting and familiarity with existing regulations and compliance standards.
- Adeptness in process enhancement and automation.
- Excellent organizational skills, keen attention to detail, self-motivation, proactive nature, collaborative spirit, multitasking abilities, and innovation.
- Superior verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Demonstrated capacity to excel in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to prioritize workload and ensure timely task completion.
- Upholds high integrity standards and shows competence in handling confidential information.
- Proficiency with Slack, Apple MacOS, and GSuite.
