Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Backend Engineer to join our Engineering Team based in Hong Kong. As a vital member of the team, you will be responsible for providing technical support across various Animoca Brands projects. Collaborating with diverse teams, you will contribute to the development of robust, scalable, and high-performance backend solutions. Your role will involve designing, creating, and managing the backend infrastructure that drives our array of blockchain games and digital platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend systems and APIs for multiple projects under Animoca Brands.
- Work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and stakeholders to implement quality features and improvements.
- Ensure backend services are scalable, secure, and reliable.
- Enhance and streamline existing code for improved performance and sustainability.
- Implement integration with cloud services such as AWS, RDS, Redis, and Postgres, managing cloud infrastructure as required.
- Address technical issues, troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across different projects.
- Write clear, well-documented, and testable code.
- Keep updated on latest technologies and best practices in backend development and cloud services.
Requirements:
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or have equivalent practical experience.
- Strong expertise in Backend Engineering with hands-on proficiency in Node.js, PHP, Spring, and Scala.
- Proficient in cloud services, particularly AWS, Postgres, RDS, and Redis.
- Desirable experience in Golang and Python.
- Familiar with RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and database administration.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within a fast-paced environment.
