Responsibilities:

Joining Circle as the first Data Scientist specializing in Machine Learning entails tackling crucial challenges such as identifying potentially illicit transactions and actors, and optimizing reserves allocation to mitigate systemic risks. Your role extends beyond machine learning solutions, encompassing exploration and resolution of diverse business problems using data science methodologies. This involves research, problem visualization, and cross-functional collaboration to address a spectrum of organizational needs.

Key Duties:

• Drive the development, enhancement, and maintenance of ML models to address identified challenges, collaborating with various teams to ensure model effectiveness and implementation.

• Explore additional ML problem areas with high strategic value for Circle's operations.

• Steer data analysis initiatives, define key metrics for business insights, and create data pipelines and models to support data-driven decision-making processes.

• Conduct in-depth analyses to discern customer behavior patterns, derive actionable insights for product enhancements, and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.

• Engage in activities such as blockchain data analysis to grasp trading patterns, incentives, and USDC's integration within the broader crypto landscape.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 5 years of data analysis or data science experience, including focus for at least 3 years on machine learning applications in domains like regulatory compliance, fraud detection, or treasury management.

• Proficient in SQL and a programming language like R or Python, with a strong foundation in machine learning theory and practical implementation.

• Demonstrated ability to plan and deploy production-ready machine learning models, excellent problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities.

• Proven track record in analytical work and model development that contributes to product enhancement.

Additional Information:

• This position may qualify for immediate PERM sponsorship for eligible candidates.

The compensation offered is based on factors including relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and business requirements. Salary ranges may vary by location.

Base Pay Range: $147,500 - $195,000, Annual Bonus Target: 12.5%
