Senior Design Engineer

The Uniswap Protocol stands as the leading decentralized trading and automated market making protocol within the Ethereum network.

The dedicated Uniswap Labs team played a significant role in developing the Uniswap Protocol and now concentrates on crafting various products to bolster the Uniswap Labs ecosystem. Situated in SoHo, New York City, our team holds a pivotal position within the crypto community. Opportunities exist for both partial or complete remote work, based on the role requirements.

Seeking a proficient Senior Design Engineer to contribute to our product frontend within a dynamic and challenging atmosphere. This role bridges design and engineering activities, ensuring the smooth development of innovative features aimed at a global user base. Collaboration with the design team is key to achieving design and user experience refinement across all products.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate a cohesive relationship between engineering and design by acting as a valuable resource to both functions.
• Collaborate with designers to prototype novel interactions and assist in defining optimal UX paths.
• Develop standardized, reusable UI components for implementation across various applications within the organization.
• Transform design concepts into functional products without specific guidelines.
• Elevate quality standards by making crypto UX more user-friendly for a broader audience.

Requirements:

• Possess 6+ years of experience in front-end development, technical UX design, or prototyping.
• Demonstrate prior involvement in establishing design systems and components that enhance overall design functions.
• Exhibit strong visual design skills covering desktop and mobile UI elements, color theory, layout, and iconography.
• Familiarity with prototyping methods to showcase flow and interaction mechanisms.
• Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience with vector and motion graphics, including SVG, HTML5 Canvas, and animation tools such as Framer motion and GreenSock, among others.
• Competence in design tools like Figma or Sketch.
• Stay updated on React and Swift developments along with new UI/animation libraries for optimized performance.

Uniswap Labs offers a minimum full-time salary ranging from $180,000 to $220,000. Salary disclosure complies with New York City's Pay Transparency Law. Full-Time employees are entitled to additional compensation elements including equity, tokens, and benefits, subject to position criteria.

Full-Time employee benefits at Uniswap Labs include unlimited and supported time off, fully paid medical, dental, & vision coverage for employees and dependents, 401(k) participation, annual $1,500 education stipend, up to 16 weeks paid parental leave, home office stipend for remote employees, and daily lunches at NY headquarters. All benefits are subject to applicable taxes and eligibility.
