Job summary
The role within the institutional sales team offers an exciting opportunity to lead and grow a portfolio of institutional and high-net-worth clients. You will be an integral part of the client journey, from initial onboarding to introducing customized crypto products not yet seen in the market. As a member of the operations team, you will collaborate closely with sales traders, account managers, and sales managers, contributing to the expansion of our infrastructure.
Role description
As a key player in the institutional growth of the company, you will actively engage in identifying and capturing opportunities across a diverse global client landscape in a rapidly evolving market. This position is ideal for a dynamic individual proficient in navigating the entire sales cycle. Acting as the liaison between institutional clients and our digital asset services, you will leverage your industry expertise to onboard valuable partners. You will work closely with senior leadership to execute growth strategies independently, managing personal sales targets and client accounts.
Responsibilities
- Pipeline development: Proactively seek out, pitch, and onboard institutional prospects, focusing on hedge funds, family offices, and proprietary trading firms.
- Solution-oriented sales: Effectively showcase the company's ecosystem, including the Exchange, OTC desk, and Custody solutions, tailored to meet the needs of institutional traders.
- Onboarding coordination: Oversee the complete onboarding process, collaborating with Legal, Compliance, and Operations to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new clients.
- Client relationship management: Act as the main point of contact for your portfolio of clients, ensuring high retention rates and identifying opportunities for cross-selling or upselling.
- Market feedback: Provide valuable insights to the Product and Strategy teams by sharing real-time feedback on competitor pricing, feature gaps, and client challenges.
- Sales performance tracking: Maintain accurate sales records and forecasts in the CRM, offering regular updates on metrics such as Trading Volume and Assets under Management (AUM).
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 4-7 years in Institutional Sales, Business Development, or Relationship Management within the FinTech or Traditional Finance sectors.
- Industry knowledge: 2+ years of expertise in the digital asset space, with a strong understanding of spot/derivatives trading and custodial workflows.
- Network: A pre-existing network of institutional contacts (e.g., crypto-native funds, HFT firms, or asset managers) is highly desirable.
- Technical proficiency: Ability to engage in technical discussions with client technical teams on topics such as API connectivity, FIX protocol, and sub-account structures.
- Performance-driven: Demonstrated track record of meeting or surpassing individual sales quotas and volume targets.
- Communication skills: Strong presentation abilities to navigate complex discussions with Portfolio Managers and Operations Heads.
- Adaptability: A flexible mindset able to pivot swiftly in response to changing market conditions and regulations.
