Senior Manager Sanctions Operations

About the role

As the Senior Manager of Sanctions Operations, you will play a key role in leading the Sanctions Operations department within the Compliance Operation pillar. Reporting directly to the Head of Compliance, your responsibilities will include overseeing daily monitoring activities, aligning initiatives with global sanctions policies, and leading people management activities.

What you'll be doing

• Leading the sanctions operations team in conducting daily transaction monitoring and utilizing blockchain analytics to prevent financial crimes.
• Acting as the Sanctions Expert, working cross-functionally to identify gaps, implement controls, and oversee program enhancements.
• Spearheading the development of compliance policies, enhancing processes, and promoting global collaboration.
• Collaborating with internal teams to address sanctions queries and ensure compliance with financial crimes standards.
• Overseeing QA reviews, audits, and responses to regulatory queries, leading remediation efforts promptly.
• Developing and refining sanctions training programs with the Learning Development & Quality Assurance department.
• Working with regional compliance teams to obtain business licenses and meet regulatory standards for operations and expansion.

What we look for

• 8-12 years of leadership experience in sanctions/AML within financial services, fintech, or crypto industries.
• Proven record in managing large departments, building compliance programs, and understanding regulatory requirements.
• Experience in policy development, fostering cross-functional collaborations, and promoting compliance culture.
• Strong analytical skills, using data and technology for effective transaction monitoring and crime prevention.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial institutions or tech companies is an advantage.
• Passion for Blockchain and Cryptocurrency.
