Responsibilities:

• Maintain and enhance Symfony 5/6 applications in production.
• Design and implement secure, scalable architectures for integration-heavy systems.
• Develop and manage integrations with external APIs, internal services, and data feeds.
• Collaborate with event-driven workflows and distributed components.
• Optimize MySQL/Postgres databases for performance and reliability.
• Implement rigorous security best practices, including authentication and authorization.
• Troubleshoot complex issues spanning distributed systems.
• Own architectural and implementation decisions from design to production.
• Work closely with US-based stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

• 5–7+ years of professional PHP experience.
• Proficiency in Symfony 5/6 and system design.
• Extensive experience with API integrations and service-to-service communication.
• Strong expertise in designing and optimizing MySQL or PostgreSQL databases.
• In-depth understanding of security best practices and data protection.
• Proven track record of maintaining and evolving production codebases.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex distributed system issues.
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-hosted environments.
• Excellent English communication skills for collaboration with US-based teams.
• Strong decision-making skills and ownership mentality.
