Senior Product Designer (DeFi)

About the role:

The company is searching for a seasoned Product Designer to spearhead design efforts in the DeFi Wallet department. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the design, testing, and enhancement of a product that empowers users to delve into decentralized finance and applications. Working closely with the Cronos chain, internal app, and Visa cards ensures unique product opportunities for DeFi Wallet.

Every product designer within the organization collaborates directly with product managers, engineers, and research partners, collectively taking ownership of a segment within an app and collaboratively delivering solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the comprehensive resolution of intricate design challenges, translating customer insights and analytics into innovative concepts that guide the development of new products and features.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, especially engineers, to ensure a smooth transition from concept to iterative development and eventual product release.
• Assume a leadership role in collaboration with product managers to contribute to defining and evolving the product roadmap, with your strategic insights shaping the direction of offerings.
• Cultivate collaboration among designers across the organization, enhancing the overall design standard continually. Develop design processes, principles, and tools to ensure alignment with industry innovation.
• Utilize your extensive experience to mentor and guide other designers, fostering a team culture focused on collaboration and growth.

Requirements:

• Over 5 years of experience designing digital products/services in a B2C setting.
• A strong portfolio showcasing examples of digital product and service design.
• Enthusiasm for DeFi, with experience trading crypto and exploring web3.
• Demonstrate expertise in creating intuitive, engaging user experiences for web and mobile platforms. Your portfolio should reflect a history of delivering user-centric designs that enrich the overall user experience.
• Identify and address gaps in the user journey with a keen focus on UX excellence. Exhibit expertise in visual design principles, ensuring designs meet and surpass aesthetic and functional standards. Your written communication should clearly articulate design rationale and strategy.
• Practice collaboration effectively and skillfully, as evidenced by successful partnerships with engineers, user researchers, and product teams. Seamless integration within cross-functional teams should highlight your proficiency.
• Proficiency in design tools, particularly in Figma and prototyping tools, should be evident in translating ideas into interactive prototypes efficiently, streamlining design iteration.
