Senior Product Designer - Exchange

About the role:

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead the design of a comprehensive institutional trading platform at our organization. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing for complex trader workflows and a strong background in modular/atomic design systems. This position offers the opportunity to:

• Craft detailed interfaces and visualizations to present extensive data in trader-friendly formats.

Research and Measure:

• Engage with users to understand their needs.
• Conduct platform usage research to identify improvement opportunities.
• Track changes and evaluate their impact on key metrics.

Cross-Functional Excellence:

• Partner with engineering leads to ensure smooth implementation of design system components.
• Facilitate workshops and design reviews to align teams on design principles.
• Collaborate with product teams to incorporate feedback into the system.

Technical Implementation:

• Work closely with developers to ensure the feasibility of design solutions.
• Contribute to technical documentation and implementation guidelines.
• Engage in discussions about architecture and design patterns.

Requirements:

• Must-Have Qualifications:
• Experience in designing trading interfaces with a focus on intricate workflows.
• 7+ years of product design experience, including 3+ years with desktop-class interfaces.
• Proven track record of building complex, high-impact products.
• Portfolio demonstrating high-quality design in trading environments.
• Proficiency in Advanced Figma and prototyping.
• Knowledge of front-end development principles and accessibility standards.
• Experience in user research and data-informed decision-making.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for conveying design solutions.

Technical Expertise:

• Proficiency in managing component libraries using modular and atomic design approaches.
• Familiarity with design tokens and systematic visual design methods.
• Skill in version control systems for design assets.
• Knowledge of modern front-end frameworks and their impact on design systems scalability.

Leadership Abilities:

• Strong facilitation and workshop leadership skills for cross-team alignment.
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships across technical and product teams.
• Ability to influence product strategy through user-centered design.
