Senior QA Engineer

You will be joining a small and growing team and take ownership of your work while making a significant impact. This role offers the opportunity to enhance your Quality Assurance (QA) and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) skills by developing testing strategies across various areas such as UI, Backend, Security, Databases, Datasets, and Software delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with payment team members (developers, product manager, customer support, and partners) to develop, test, and deliver high-quality products.
• Develop detailed and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Identify, collect, analyze, and track product defects.
• Design, develop, and implement automation scripts.
• Conduct manual investigation and reproduction of functional backend software issues.
• Perform root cause analysis of existing test script failures.
• Identify current test script deficiencies and areas for additional scripted coverage.
• Conduct investigatory testing of unreleased features, including defining requirements, behavior, and impact.
• Document and design potential test scenarios for the above activities.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in backend Quality Assurance (QA) engineering, with experience in frontend and backend automation testing.
• Proficient in scripting using Java.
• Experience with automation testing of backend services such as APIs, Databases, and distributed services.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify not just "what" went wrong, but "why."
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate effectively in English to engage with clients across the region.
• Experience conducting end-to-end testing plans, including self-test tooling, SIT, UAT, and regression testing.
• Enjoys investigating and solving problems.
• Ability to discover unknown unknowns before it impacts users.
• Experience in data quality testing.
• Experience in performance testing.
• Experience in security testing.
