Senior Software Engineer - BGX

BitGo is seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join the BGX team. In this role, you will contribute to building an API-first platform tailored for businesses and developers in the crypto space.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable and resilient APIs, libraries, and services to support our API-first platform.
• Take ownership of feature functionality and scalability through all stages from conception to integration for customers.
• Document and expose functionality to UI, external developers, and internal tooling.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to introduce, design, and deliver new features.
• Write efficient, clean, and manageable code.
• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Identify and rectify bottlenecks and bugs.
• Explore and adopt new technologies continuously for improved development efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of continuous enhancement.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and colleagues to refine and comprehend product requirements.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to fellow engineers within the engineering team through code evaluations and advocating best practices.

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 6 years of back-end and server-side development experience.
• Proficiency in algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript, Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Experience in designing RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in microservices and service-oriented architectures.
• Background in unit and functional testing and debugging.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git/GitHub, branching strategies, code review tools, and CI/CD.
• Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment and adapt quickly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
• Understanding and passion for cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience developing consumer-facing cryptocurrency products.
• Demonstrated expertise in building public APIs in live environments.
• Full-stack capability and familiarity with React.
• Experience working with clients or business partners.
• Knowledge in financial aspects such as digital wallets, trading, lending, clearing, accounting systems, etc.

Pay Transparency Notice:

The compensation for this role typically ranges from $165,000 to $210,000 USD annually, depending on your level and location. In addition to the base salary, the role also offers equity, a yearly performance bonus, and an inclusive benefits package.
