About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer on the CDI Engineering team, you will contribute to the design, development, and testing of new features on the Core Platform that drives our business. Working closely with teams across Engineering, Governance, Product, and Sales, you will ensure the implementation of our technical roadmap and the maintenance of high performance and scalability in our backend services. Given that our clients rely on CDI's products to guide their investment strategies, ensuring platform security and reliability is of utmost importance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to design, develop, implement, and maintain backend features using Python/NodeJS
• Work closely with Product, Governance, and Sales teams to deliver on the product roadmap
• Specify backend requirements for tools that enhance the analysis, reporting, and visualization of indices data, contributing to projects focused on data interactivity and visualization
• Collaborate with software architects and technical leads to prioritize scalability and reliability in decision-making
• Develop infrastructure components that optimize developer experience as well as platform performance, reliability, scalability, and security
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, providing effective solutions
• Contribute to technical documentation related to software architecture, coding frameworks, components, and technical decisions
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Mentor fellow engineering colleagues

About You

• Minimum of 6 years of software engineering experience, working on the design, development, and maintenance of distributed systems at scale
• Proficiency in the following technologies:
• Programming: Python (required), Java and/or C++ (a plus)
• Object-oriented principles and software design paradigms
• Databases: SQL and/or NoSQL
• Cloud-based development: ECS, Lambda
• Third-party tools: Kafka, Redis
• Web Services/API Layer: REST/JSON
• Build/dev tools: Docker, Git
• Bonus points for familiarity with modern front-end technologies and frameworks such as React/Next.js
• Experience with DevOps methodologies, including Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and Trunk Based Development
• Familiarity with Agile Methodologies and previous experience working in a Scrum environment
• Ownership, accountability, and effective verbal and written communication skills
• Full professional proficiency in English

Note: This is a full-time position. Candidates must be currently based in Brasil due to required working hours and team co-location.
