Senior Software Engineer - Custody Services

BitGo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Custody Services team to assist in building a custodial platform for efficient trading, staking, and management of crypto products.

This role requires onsite presence at the Palo Alto, CA office.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop robust APIs, libraries, and services to enhance the custodial platform's scalability and functionality.
• Manage features and scalability aspects from inception to deployment and integration with customers.
• Document and expose functionalities to UI, external developers, and internal/external tools.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to deliver new features effectively.
• Write efficient, clean, and maintainable code.
• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Identify and address bottlenecks and debug issues.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies to streamline development processes.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement culture.
• Mentor fellow engineers through code reviews and sharing best practices.

Skills & Experience:

Required:

• 5+ years of backend and server-side development experience.
• Proficient in algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and Kotlin.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and RESTful API design.
• Skilled in microservices, service-oriented architectures, and testing.
• Proficient in Git, GitHub, CI, and branching methodologies.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Interest and understanding of cryptocurrencies and blockchain.

Preferred:

• Experience in developing consumer-facing crypto products.
• Proven track record of building public-facing APIs.
• Full-stack development skills and familiarity with React.
• Interaction with clients and business partners.
• Knowledge of digital wallets, clearing, settlement, lending, or trading systems.

Pay Transparency Notice:

Based on level and location, the typical compensation for this role ranges from $165,000 - $210,000 USD base salary. Equity, performance bonuses, and additional benefits are also part of the package.
