Monad Labs is an established startup that is focused on building the Monad blockchain. As a high-performance smart contract platform, our goal is to bring decentralized apps to a broader audience. We provide 1000x the throughput of Ethereum, allowing for 10,000 transactions per second. Additionally, we support backward-compatibility with Ethereum smart contracts, combining the best of both worlds for users and developers.

Our team, composed of former Jump Trading professionals, addresses complex problems in distributed systems engineering and low-latency optimization. We create innovative open source code to develop a new system that is highly reliable, high-value, and high-performing.

Recently, we secured $19 million in seed funding from renowned investors such as Dragonfly Capital, Placeholder Capital, and Naval Ravikant, among others. This investment has allowed us to expand our team. We are currently looking for exceptional engineers who are excited about taking on challenging and impactful projects in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer at Monad Labs, you will become part of our core engineering team and focus on integrating blockchain with external systems. This includes working on components like JSON-RPC, indexers, wallets, bridges, storage, analytics platforms, and applications. Leveraging your experience in blockchain engineering, you will develop intuitive and high-performance systems. You will collaborate with a small and dynamic team within our startup atmosphere.

Who You Are

• You have a minimum of four years of software engineering experience.
• You have previous experience in blockchain engineering, specifically working on Layer-1, Layer-2, or Infrastructure projects (such as Oracle, Bridge, Indexer, RPC Provider, Wallet, or other high-performance apps).
• You possess backend engineering skills in low-level programming languages like C, C++, or Rust.
• You have successfully built significant systems from scratch.
• You are an excellent communicator and are comfortable participating in technical discussions, reviews, and documentation.
• You share the values that define Monad's Engineering team, including a practical and common-sense approach to problem-solving, strong design skills, a track record of excellence, and a rigorous development mindset.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a minimum full-time salary of $200,000. Please note that this figure is not a guarantee and final compensation may vary based on factors such as experience and location.
